Summary

Trump’s advisers are reportedly misleading him about support for his tariff policies, claiming working-class voters back them.

However, polling shows most non-college-educated Americans—especially nonwhite voters—believe tariffs hurt the economy and increase inflation.

A Marquette Law poll found only non-college white men narrowly support tariffs. A CNN poll showed 59% of non-college voters disapprove of Trump’s handling of tariffs.

Critics argue Trump’s team is feeding him a distorted view, ignoring backlash and economic risks, which could give Democrats an opening to reclaim working-class support amid rising costs.

In the real world, all the tariff chaos gives Democrats an opening to try to crack his vaunted coalition.

In the real world, The New Republic, the trump voting bloc is a cult. It is not possible to “crack his vaunted coalition”, becuase it is one single unit of fear-based lifelong republiQans and hypnotized rightwing media victims that no amount of logic or reasoning can penetrate.

To repeat: it is a cult, media is a desperate vortex of lies and you’re not really helping like you mean to.

But you’re sweet to offer false hope.
