lol maybe there’s an anchoring effect at play, companies look at other companies to see how much they cut, and base their cuts off that
there’s definitely a trend chasing thing where a company will do something because they have a reason and then all the other shitheads have to also do that because we’re too slow at pushing investors into woodchippers.
