Seriously? They didn’t start street brawls with the church and kill them. They did that with socialists. There was no teaming up, there was no alliance, there was no marketing trick. Hitler hated that term but the party was already formed. Put the emphasis on the National part of national socialism.
Socialism was also popular at the time and they were using that to increase their appeal.
