i remember being downvoted for saying this on reddit years ago but I’ve been adamant that we should stop pretending that conservatism in general is a valid and legitimate political ideology that we have to entertain as part of discourse. stop pretending we have a difference of opinion.
it is an inherently harmful ideology and has no place in the modern world. even with the most charitable approach it is about keeping an economic hierarchy in which the rich exploit and disadvantage the poor. in reality it’s much worse.b they just hate you and want you dead.
it’s only bad if it happens to me. i voted for him so it would only happen to others. not me though.
