Trump said: “We have thousands of stories talking about it,” then ordered his staff: “Turn the lights down and just put this on.”

Sitting next to Trump before the fireplace, Ramaphosa forced a smile and turned to look at a big TV screen as Trump’s South Africa-born billionaire ally Elon Musk, JD Vance, the defence secretary Pete Hegseth and diplomats and journalists from both countries looked on.

The video included footage of former South African president Jacob Zuma and firebrand opposition politician Julius Malema singing an apartheid-era struggle song called “Kill the Boer”, which means farmer or Afrikaner, as supporters danced.

At Youtube I expected full-on racism in all the top comments. But I got a surprise.

I really don’t get why the journalists are asking all these questions that have nothing to do with South africa while the entire south african delegation is there. Why waste their time? Just ask Trump the non-ZA questions, when only trump is giving a press conference. I don’t get it.

That’s what diplomacy and class looks like. Thank you South Africa!

    And a bit lower down

    BRICS…getting even stronger 😂😂

The comments probably varies by the youtube channel. The same video is being uploaded on all the right wing channels, fox news, oan, newsmax. Those channels have taken clips from the meeting and are framing it as the South Africa President denying white genocide. It’s all over right wing twitter.
