I honestly liked Gen V more, personally. The Boys has kinda ended up in a position where it’s constantly trying to one up itself and do more and more outrageous things. Gen V had the gore and edge but doesn’t necessarily revolve around it. And it’s nice to watch a show where the people you’re supposed to be rooting for are actually likeable.
Don’t get me wrong, The Boys has been a wild ride, but at this point I’ll be glad to see a final season.
A satisfying finale for a series? I’ll believe it when I see it…
Quotes like this only increase the expectations.
I’m kind of burned out from the last 2 seasons mostly just stringing us along.
The point where they open a barn and find flying monster sheep that farted kinda killed it for me. Like they were trying to see who was stupid enough to continue enjoying it.
I just stopped caring at that point.
I had it on in the background and when I looked over to see that I was so confused.
It’s not like they’re going to say it ends with a flop are they?
They won’t say that but watch some of the cast promoting the final session of The Umbrella Academy. You can tell they knew it was bad.
“We decided it would subvert expectations to have Homelander realize he really could just murder the whole crew and no one would actually care”
So we’re retconning the comic ending then…??
They changed and killed off Black Noir so it’s going to be different.
I stopped watching after around the middle of season 3. Is it worth getting back into or nah?
I quite enjoyed the first 2 seasons but it didn’t really feel like it was going anywhere so I didn’t really feel the need to continue watching.
That’s exactly what I did, it just lost me. “Homelander bad but can’t be stopped because insert excuse here” on repeat
Wait so one more season? They skip half of the comics then?
They stopped following the comic looooong ago. Ryan didn’t even exist, the wife didn’t survive, the boys had super strength (MM was a super)… I would like Noir twist introduced through.
KRIPKE probably doesnt want more than 5 season, he did that for SPN too, and look what it turned out to be once he reach 10more seasons by different showrunners.
