I think we can safely assume that any woman, anywhere, who has public photos available and who says something that upsets a man (right or left) will have deepfake porn made of her.

    God I didn’t think of this. I 100% agree, famous feminists, ex girlfriends, female celebrities etc are gonna have this done to them by manosphere types. I’m a dv outreach worker and it’s often done via photos she’s taken for her ex, but why just use photos when you can AI something far more humiliating? Thanks for sharing this

    Everything involving this topic makes me so angry and sad. How do you trust any man now that this technology exists?

    I think we should all think twice about having photos publically accessible, or even visible to friends, on social media. Between deepfakes, Kiwifarms if you’re trans, and Clearview AI, Facebook and Instagram was a mistake.

    It’s illegal in other countries and eventually I think it will me in my country too, but it’s already too late.

      I thankfully learned before the Internet was a big thing that pictures, once unleashed, have a habit of popping up again. I can’t even imagine learning that lesson in an age where your pictures circulate the globe unchecked in minutes.

      There are maybe … five? … pictures of me available on the Internet right now. None of them are associated with any of my surviving online identities. There’s a reason for this that predates AI.

      Now? It’s doubly important, IMO, that people do not associate pictures of themselves with any online identity they value.

      Sad world.

    The laws would have, at best, made it so the perpetrators would have to use local hardware (midrange gaming GPU). not saying that the laws would have been pointless, just that it is hard to effectively regulate math.
