Not like for dating, I think I’m pretty far from that more like friends

I was thinking in activities like hiking to meet persons

Volunteering can be a great way to meet people in general. There are services geared toward more social group activities like meetup. Try finding local hobby/activity communities online like on discord or Reddit or Lemmy!

Honestly, dating apps can be really good for this. Although polyamorous, I state in my profile that I am also open to just friends and my interests. Two of my best friends I met 4 years ago via Tinder. There are plenty of folks looking for friends on them. It especially seems like that for OKC.

Edit: most of my trans friends have been on a local discord community or through people I met on it.

Many transfeminine people have trauma, specifically about church. I did look through your profile and you have engaged here previously in ways supportive of our community members, so I’m going to assume that you were well meaning, but I am going to remove your comment as it’s an uncomfortable subject for a lot of people here.

That’s fair I’m not a fan of organized religions for exactly these reasons but I included it because depending on region is a social meeting place and the right one can be accepting.

Meet up, climbing gym, running clubs, church.

Be careful with that last one. There are some that would welcome you… but do some recon before attending.

Actually, be careful with those last 3, they all sound dangerous 😁

I know how much we hate Reddit here but I’ve had great success with meeting people through local area subreddits. Many will have a monthly meetup and you can just go hang out and meet people in a low pressure environment. Then as people get to know each other smaller groups can form. Some also have Discords which can be a nice way to ease into the group before getting out there in person.
