As of June 25, 55.1 percent of Americans viewed Elon Musk unfavorably, while 37 percent had a favorable opinion—a sharp shift from early 2024, when the numbers were roughly even, according to Silver Bulletin.

“Musk is still popular among Republicans, but he’s less popular than he used to be and less popular than other Republican figures,” elections analyst Eli McKown-Dawson wrote.

Because he forged a stupid ass cult of personality based on the lie of “Rel lyf eronmaen” so thusly has way too much power even ignoring the fact that in theory he has billions in assets. Note he is also a damned fine example as to why stocks for anything other than resource extraction is fucking asinine.

Personally I think the world would be a lot better if murder was still relatively easy, simply because then we could just kill fuckwads like musk and the world would somewhat improve.

      seriously.

he has a golden PR opportunity.

just say that he has a drug addiction take a vacation in s luxury rehab for a couple weeks and gain simpathy. then all he has to do is being less public about his racism.

but he’s too dumb to see it.

but he’ll get back that apolitical centrists liberal demographic, the people who say hes Tony Stark. he’ll be back in SNL, and people might use him as an example of “genius”

          that is all 100% BS.

but it shows that he isn’t only Selfish, racist, bigot, he is also not a smart one.

How is this possible? I’m convinced you can do the worst shit imaginable and 30% of people will still support it, no matter what.

6% of the us population consider themselves far-right, 17% consider themselves right-of-center-right, add in silicon Valley nuts, linked in lunatics, vc padded vest wearers, die hard Tesla / SpaceX fans, single issue voters, red-down-the-ballot-voters, and people who don’t keep up with what elon did bad - easy to see tbh

Awesome strategy, though. First, piss off the sane people, then piss off the crazy people.

He should increase the dose. Maybe mix it with booze. I hear that’s a great way to increase its effect.

He killed his Dem fans by going MAGA. Then, killed MAGA fans going against their orange god. All-around idiot that got lucky investments with daddy’s money.

Jump in one of those exploding rockets, Elon. It surely won’t blow this time.

He not only did what you describe, but by buying Twitter, he intentionally worked to polarize the entire political base into neat “pro-Trump” and “anti-Trump” camps. Then he finished systematically burning his bridges with both. Amazing work all around.

I don’t know, the stream where his entire goal was to prove how good starlink was for gaming where he immediately blamed all his deaths on poor connection quality, sort of implies he has trouble putting his products before his ego.

And while he is an expert at deluding himself, I think we have already passed the point where even he could be convinced his rockets were safe.
