A Belgian man with a very rare metabolic condition that causes his body to produce alcohol had a drink-driving charge against him dismissed in court on Monday.The man meanwhile was following a carbohydrate-light diet to avoid his stomach producing more alcohol.
Dude was 4x the legal limit and didn’t know he had this condition…
It’s kind of insane he spent his whole life plastered and never knew.
Like, regardless of if it was intentional, he shouldn’t be driving if he’s always drunk
I mean, if you’ve spent your whole life dunk because your body makes its own alcohol with stomach yeast, how would you Even know what sober even feels like?
Because at some point you’d try to get drunk and realize you’re already there?
Because you’ve probably got a piss poor liver and/or kidney by now…
