Also a win for visibility. That is a nicely refurbished corridor. Not just some drab, dimly lit walkway with limited access.
Behind the curtains, DS9 had two disconnected corridor sets. One was outside the crew quarters / wardroom, and the other connected the airlock & cargo bay. Neither was all that large, especially when compared to TNG & Voyager’s long snaking main hallway set, so DS9 never had long walk & talks in the corridors. (DS9 did have the Promenade, though, which was probably more visually interesting for those types of scenes.)
The Promenade was actually just 1/4th of the Promenade with 2 of the walls being painted to look like it kept going. Kinda like a wile e coyote tunnel.
Explains the tight shots when they do slightly linger in those sections. Thanks for the insight.
