As the title says, I’m curious at which point during HRT you experienced your first female orgasm?

I’ve been on HRT for 5 weeks now and didn’t experience one yet which is not surprising from what I’ve read but I want to hear from you girls.

That will necessary vary as time goes on. Your body will relocate fat tissue to different parts of your body, and the structure of your skin will change over time. I find my skin to overall be a lot more sensitive than it used to be, and much more involved in arousal for me.

But I’m not sure this process is very well understood. There’s many different factors that all come together and change sensory experiences like orgasm. Estrogen, in my experience, caused arousal to build slower, and that kind of accompanied a general downwards trend in libido until I hit a much lower baseline. I began taking progesterone which helped push it back up a bit, but generally the nature of my hormone therapy (estrogen + Spiro twice a day) leads to very consistent hormone levels over time and an accompanied consistency of diminished (as compared to pre-hrt) libido.

The way this affects your brain on a structural level isn’t well understood, it’s also not well understood what causes any perceived differentiation of orgasm is for people with vaginas vs people with penises. It’s all based on subjective descriptions and everyones experiences tend to vary quite a lot. For me it changed gradually but also accompanied a lot of other changes to my experience of sexuality and I’m not confident to what degree the change was physiological and not psychological in nature.

The short answer is, probably within the first 2 years you will experience some change in your experience of orgasm. But to what extent exactly is highly variable and we don’t know exactly what causes any change that may be experienced.
