Hello everyone. I hope everyone has had a good week and has been staying cool in the summer heat. I have been playing more Nightreign. I have not attempted Purple Fulghor yet because I hadn’t beaten regular Fulghor until last night. I hope to try him tonight but I’ve been busy. Hope you all have a good week.
I’ve been playing Dune: Awakening. The base-building and survival gameplay are really fun, but being ganked and/or dying in a way that costs everything you have with you is sad.
I found out that a bunch of years old CS boxes I had increased a shit ton in price so I sold it to buy some games. I bought Deltarune and I want to play that, but right now I’m playing 9 Kings and Nubby’s Number Factory. 9 Kings in special is addicting as hell.
Also played the new Risk of Rain 2 DLC yesterday for the first time and it was super fun.
Recently I also played ENA’s Dream BBQ and I absolutely loved it, can’t wait to see the next chapters.
I started playing Battlefront 2, the newer one, with some friends because it was 4 dollars on Steam. I think it sucks, even with all the micro transaction stuff pulled out.
The visuals and sounds and vibes of Star Wars are excellent.
But heroes ruin any big game mode because they aren’t a special powerful unit that shows up once or twice a match, there is almost no delay in someone being defeated as a hero and someone else being able to spawn as them if they have the points. So you get a constant stream of Jedi bullshit all game that let’s the winning team steamroll even harder.
Factions are not balanced, especially with randoms. A few Droideka rolling into an objective wins half the CIS matches. Super Battle Droids are in every way superior to Empire troops.
Star Cards are still grindy to unlock, making small game modes also suck. You aren’t winning a 1v1 against someone who just has 40% more health than you. Let alone a squad of them all working together with maxed cards.
Spawns are an issue where you can spawn in the line of fire and die instantly or have someone spawn immediately to your left.
For 4 dollars I got my money’s worth but I think it’s a bad game in almost every respect and I probably won’t play it any more after this second week.
Started playing Age of Mythology after finding my old copy as I’ve never actually beat the campaign + the titans expansion. Age of empires/mythology really hits that RTS itch.
I came back to Lies of P after playing it for maybe 8 hours about a year ago. I remember getting frustrated with the mechanics but I was also playing a lot of elden ring at the time. I just don’t think I realized at the time that rolling constantly is not what you should be doing. I honed in on guarding (and perfect guards which will stagger) and occasionally rolling, and went all in on a Technique build this time. I love it. I’m probably gonna crush the game in about a week, and then move right onto the DLC that just came out
My sister got me Cyberpunk 2077 as a belated birthday gift. I remember back in 2020, she tried to convince me to “trade birthday gift requests” so she could get Animal Crossing earlier than her birthday but the only video game I was willing to trade on was Cyberpunk and it had just got delayed again.
Umamusume. The grind feels good.
I accidentally deleted my armored core 3 data so I had to restart (again). And i’m doing much, much better the third time, especially once I got over my fear of selling the starter parts, which are garbage. I’ve got a super fast lightweight build and i stomped the arena so now i’m stacked on cash which is good because it feels like the early missions dont give you much. I’ve also gotten better at using the controls and it’s very rewarding. Old gen is clunky as hell until you learn to move smoothly by not landing hard and not killing your booster on the ground. I love it.
I’ve also been playing armored core 6 multiplayer again and to be honest, after coming back from old gen I actually kind of hate the stagger mechanic (at least in multiplayer)
I fell off from Breath of the Wild after around 20 hours. It’s a great game and I’ll come back to it. But I started playing it as my spring game and now it’s summer so I want to play something with summer vibes - I started playing Cyberpunk for the first time. I’m 10 hours in and so far it hasn’t really grabbed me but I’ll keep playing it
Breath of Fire IV. I’ve only just started it today, and it’s… umm, it feels old, even by the standards of when it was first released. The translation is also pretty dodgy, of course, but… So far, I’m enjoying it. The music is alright and the villain guy is pretty engaging.
Beat my yearly Resident Evil 1 game yesterday, started replaying Final Fantasy VII today. RU Tracker and GOG Games ftw, so many games to choose from.
I’ve been playing a bunch of N64 romhacks and I learned the truth of who was behind Dirt_Owl
I’m replaying Morrowind with openmw and the total overhaul modlist minus some stuff I didn’t like. It’s awesome!
I’m playing this cute little guy
With a custom “abolitionist” class and going around killing slavers and liberating slaves, with a never kill a beast race rule. He rizzes people up to like him and get good deals or info, or talks shit to start a fight, then stabs them with a spear that heals him. Desecrates dunmer tombs, sneaks around and will rob you blind if you’re a dick, and since all the locals think he’s a disgusting farm implement, he’s rich as hell. Big recommend!
The more I think, the less I remember there being many beast race NPCs that are actually hostile. Its almost always Dunmer, Bosmer, Imperials, or Nords.
I really have yet to find one yet
i keep playing jedi survivor, the combat is pog, hate the attempting of hub system, and don’t know why they keep so many options for lightsaber customization, you can’t see the fucking thing anyway, the story is so-so, but by starwars standards fine.
also latest vikky patch is halfpog half meh, treaties to buy out regions are nice as well as doing shenanigans with trade with subsidies, but still infamy gen and electricity gives headaches (why on earth demanding reparations while being attacked gives as much infamy as just straight annexing parts of countries
). electricity in big countries is just headache inducing. why demanding to ban slavery gives infamy in 20th century?
