That at least would make him a bit useful if he actually did it, but I would not trust him to pull this through.

I’m not cheering for him. it’s all theater. he’s going to grasp at popularity now that he’s gotten the deregulations he wants. maybe he’ll go and abuse the minds of more young boys with that popularity too. that’ll be a great way to stay rich and powerful for yrs to come

What he meant was he was exiting conservative politics to return to pandering to the type of people who actually buy the products he’s trying to sell. He thought sucking Trump’s dick would get him lucrative government money, which it might have eventually, but it came at a cost he wasn’t willing to pay. Now he’s going the other direction to act like the good guy and fighting against Trump.

Nah. As soon as Trump re-add the electric car subsidies he’ll be a happy boy all over again

He is not doing this for the people. He still doesn’t give a half shit about Medicaid of the average Americans.

Who will believe he is the good guy? He pissed off liberals when he abandoned green initiatives and threw his lot in with climate changers. Then he pissed off conservatives when he had his war of words with the orange turd. Moderate Republicans that may oppose trump are put off by Musk’s antics and insistence of introducing internet humor into business dealings and products.

He has no supporters anymore and any group he’s trying to court wants nothing to do with him.

Making sure Tesla gets to take advantage of the EV subsidies.

It must be great to be so rich you can spend your life obsessing about bullying others - be it sonsabitches GOP congresscritters and senators or Musk - rather than worry about keeping your job, paying the bills and making ends meet.

As far as I’m concerned, they can all die a painful death and I wouldn’t give the tiniest shit.

      This is about paying bills.
Rumps agenda is going to end EV subsidies. Subsidies Tesla could use, maybe even needs. Without them Tesla could be in trouble, and by extension Musk would be.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. trump is paying fast and loose with the standards of law and he has a history of going after his opponents. There are already grounds that can be exaggerated to strip Musk of US Citizenship. At that point a foreign national would be owning a company that has national defense impacts. The government could force a sale just like they are with TikTok.

I don’t expect many of us would either, it’s just a matter of getting society to see who their enemies really are, and just how many allies the “take care of each other” extremist organizations really have out there.

Lol. This is a past time of *individuals in every class, equally.

It is not, in fact, a pastime of every class equally. Considering that the capitalist class makes their entire living from controlling and intimidating workers into doing actual work for them, the capitalist class systemically and explicitly spends their whole lives bullying others and being so rich that bullying people is all they ever have to worry about. Obviously we have working class individuals who suck too, but bullying others is not a systemic feature of the working class.

Major party voters. Antiunion and union working class. Church, mosque and temple members (witch trials, inquisition, when people held a grudge and used these and police forces). Snitches. Attention seekers. You’re free to disagree, and I said what I said.

You have exhibited subsets of the working class, only some of which are obsessed with bullying. But even if for charitability’s sake we assume that all those subsets are hypothetically obsessed with bullying…you have not presented (1) a set of subsets that covers the entire working class, or (2) a mode of causality to suggest why this is a feature of the working class systemically, i.e. a reason why such a covering exists.

      It is all show.

Of you don’t get it by now, well, it’s already too late.

It’s all smoke and mirrors and spectacle as America, and free society, has effectively collapsed.

Your new world order is here.

But it is much much worse that you could have imagined.

Very poetic, but most of these guys are numbnuts. Yes, smoke and mirrors is the intent, but I sincerely believe that the majority of the people you can get into this movement are straight buffoons. Nepo babies playing geopolitik. Obviously there are influences behind the scenes, but these idiots are just too chaotic to stick to the evil plan. I played a low INT goblin fighter based on that premise once, super fun to play, not so much for the rest of the party if they were actually trying to do something.
