This community seems more active than it’s been in the past
Reddit has been going through numerous changes that, generally, it’s users dislike.
So there will be waves of people leaving reddit most likely; as they spin away from serving the user; to serving profits.
no… sometimes people just post things
when one person posts other people feel more comfortable posting, and more posts ensue
be the change you want to see in the world xP
well I’m doing my part in having an active community haha
The last I read concerning Reddit is they are blocking most search engines from crawling them, except their paying buddies like Google, which is somewhat questionable to put it mildly.
Found the article I read: Slashdot - Google’s Exclusive Reddit Access
I mean, thank god for that. Google is essentially useless unless you stick “reddit” at the end. De-indicise Reddit and Google becomes essentially useless.
It’s still bad though. The fact that there is a special case just for Google, and search engines have to pay to indicise Reddit is egregious. I miss the plain text web… :/
For me it’s quite the opposite. I try to avoid google, because of many annoyances. One is the outdated reddit results it displays with priority. If I use it, I usually have to switch it to verbatim and add -reddit to get decent results.
This community goes through waves of posts. We have been very active lately though! I was on vacation all last week and at some point things got very busy here haha. It’s always nice to see.
