I know reddit is a mess but Instagram has to take the crown of bizarre comment threads for sure. You could post a picture of a pillow on a couch, no context whatsoever, and people will be fighting about something in the comments. You’d almost think the entire thing is simulated or something.
In my experience Instagram comments are even more reactionary than Reddit comments
There’s a pro strongman that has started shitting on shitty people from the comments section of fitness videos. For example: woman lifts heavy weight, butt hurt “men” comment various idiotic hateful things, strongman looks at their profile and calls them a removed based on something relevant.
Obviously it doesn’t do anything systematically, but it is a bit of solidarity and the original poster often tanks him. So I guess that’s okay.
But yeah they are the worst.
There’s no downvotes and the comments are up depending on how many replies it gets, also instagram doesn’t seem to automatically remove slurs or autoban for using them

They’ll tank the economy like they threatened with Greece. Worth it to escape their clutches, but only if there’s a plan for introducing socialism the next day. Otherwise it’d just be pain. There are probably vulture capitalists hoping for exactly that.

I like this idea, though I thought that “Officially” and “Legally” the HQ was somewhere in France so once a month they hold a meeting in France so France does not throw a fit … That being said Belgium seems to have lots of negotiating power here

I am scared honestly! My anti communist father in law tells me that I will start abandoning my socialist mentality after I see my daughter born. However, what scares me the most is that I hope that I can provide for her in midst of this capitalist hellhole country. Sorry comrade, I am ranting a little bit but it is so difficult to talk to people about my situation.
It would be a lie to say I knpw what you are going through, as I have no children, however 1) do not appologise for ranting, your nervous and scared, if you need someone to talk to I can listen, and I am sure others would too, we are a comunity. 2) yeah anti-communists say that at every major milestone, they assume at some point you will lose your want pf a better society for everyone, and turn inword and want to be the boot that steps on people to get a little ahead, I would not put a second thought to his comment about your beliefs, I am sure if nothing else you will want to see her have the best future possible l, and that is one with a red banner. 3) The worry you are discribing, I would be more conserned if you where not feeling it, or if you felt blesed she was born into capitalism. You are already worried about her and her future, and that is exactly what a father should be doing.

Just an update from my side: yesterday at the meeting they held a little “inauguration ceremony” for me at the party meeting. The party representative from the Capital had given me my little red membership book as well as gifted me a book from our president and a brand new party pin. Our goal this year is to get in the EU parliament to voice the program of people’s Europe together with all major European communist parties. Thank y’all for the crossed fingers, the whole event went great! I hope you don’t mind me talking about my experiences here.

Thanks! A little bit of both but more in the ‘something I wanted’ pile. It’s quite similar to the last place. I find that after too long in the same job all the little annoying things build up too much. They become ‘reasons to leave’ rather than things that just get on my nerves.
And I find that when I get too comfortable, employers and managers try to take advantage a little bit more and a little bit more. You spend all this time cultivating an image of just-about-competent. But after a few years of not fucking up, they can see right through it and give you all the extra work, anyway lol.

I am not super up to date with Pall world, All I really know is they made some appalling “jokes” about slavery, on their store page, but I know nothing else.
Yeah i mostly meant some schadenfreude since some time ago i pointed that out, and some people sadly even from here and hex were telling me to touch grass because apparently jokes about slavery and exploitation are cool (?) when popular game dev make it. Well, it’s not as popular now, probably as we speak g*mers are already bashing the game for how boring it is or because they didn’t had enough slavery idk.
In my experience, Hexbear as a collective often tends to have some very white blind spots that someone often has to raise a fuss to actually get them to self-crit. Nowhere near as bad as the non-grad alternatives, though. There’s just still blind spots there, and I think their reaction to Palworld is def one of them.
Just making sure that I was not missing more context than “jokes about slavery” and in my book, that was enough to write it off.
Well there were also tons of players playing it exactly because the game isn’t any subtle about slavery and being hyped about that in reviews. So i would say that game that prompted such behaviour in both devs and players is not exactly sparkling cool.
Honestly from the very little I saw from gameplay it just looked like a standard survival game with a gimic with the usual twitch hype just for the playerbase to fall in in still being in early access 3 years later
