Steps taken:
- Wake up
- Pop bloons
- Get out of bed (only when biologically necessary)
- Take pills
- Eat breakfast
- Sit on toilet
- Watch half a dozen videos on how to Do Thing
- Rest aching back by laying down
- Watch half a dozen videos about how to maybe not Do Thing and Do Better Thing instead (that will definitely take more than the day of work I had allowed for it, be backbreaking, and something I have never done before, but will also be more permanent and beneficial in the long run)
- Discuss Thing with spouse
- Nod off
- Open Big Box Hardware Store app and put supplies in cart
- Price compare Do Thing and Do Better Thing
- Fret about day getting late
- Get out of bed when absolutely biologically necessary
- Eat dinner
- Watch videos unrelated to Thing
- Post about it on lemmy as I watch the sun go down
Still left to do:
- Thing

I’m here from /all so apologies, but it’s funny how closely this mimics my life when I was still drinking and depressed.
I rarely drink due to family history and my own struggles with (non-substance, thankfully) addiction, but boy howdy am I ever depressed. All sorts of diagnoses knot themselves up and contribute to crippling executive dysfunction. I’m glad you were able to get out of the spiral, friendly internet stranger. 👊
So we’re all sober here? Huzzah
But tomorrow, there is time to do thing! Wake up early, start small tasks that start thing.
tomorrow
Number 4 is usually a miss.
There’s numbers?!
That’s 2 too many
One, two, many, lots.
Oh, that reminds me I should probably have breakfast.
