    Straight up it was almost 100°F for the later half of this week where I’m at and today is supposed to kiss 90°F today

    I’m in the PNW, it’s freaking September. I should be putting my AC away not choking on smoke while my AC blows for 20 hours of the day

        Not to mention the lack of bugs in our drought stricken smoke choked summers

        Where are my things that crawl?

        Where are my critters that skitter?

        Where is the ever present thrum of tiny wings?

        Growing up there were those little woolly bear caterpillars everywhere by this point, last year I saw 2 the whole fall.

      Omg, that’s basically how it’s been in TX too. Just 3-5 degrees cooler up there. Y’all shouldn’t be burning up like that

      Here in Wisconsin we had a heat index of over 100 for about a week not even 14 days ago and today the high was 65. I broke out the sweaters and fall gear today and it was a nice change of pace
