Thanks.
The banker’s lamp is a style of electric desk or table lamp often characterized by a brass stand, green glass lamp shade, and pull-chain switch. … These types of lamp are frequently used in libraries throughout the United States, which have made the lamp popular through their presence in films and TV series.
Um.
The green shade is designed for bankers/accountants etc.
You know the green visors too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_eyeshade
I’m off to the bank to check out a book!
Ah, I knew it would have a special name. Thank you
Ghostbusters library scene shows a bunch of these.
Yeah they’re everywhere. They were actually made by a New York company, although the shades were imported from Czechoslovakia
I went to a boutique restaurant hotel in Bangkok called The Mustang Blu and they were basically the central focus of their restaurant.
Wow that looks so cozy! I think they’ve been out of production for quite a while now but I imagine there must still be tens of thousands of them around
It blew my mind but the food, though photographed well on the menu, was overpriced and overly flashy looking without keeping up in the flavor department. It was also ruined by some Middle Eastern women with nose bandages and their phones out, invading our personal space because we chose to sit next to the featured spiral staircase. Definitely a tourist trap but it was decorated incredibly well.
Ugh
