Yeah. As a speaker of Spanish and Galician, I basically know Portuguese from the get go. I’d still need to learn some vocabulary, and the syntax and grammar won’t be 100% what I think, but I can understand Portuguese and be understood in Portugal (which came in handy when I went to see Tool at Lisboa :P).
