A state oversight panel is recommending Wisconsin prosecutors pursue a slate of felony charges against a fundraising committee for Donald Trump and a Republican state lawmaker in a scheme to evade campaign finance laws surrounding an effort to unseat one of the most powerful Republicans in Wisconsin, Trump foe Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.
I hope this investigation takes out Vos, too. THAT would be a win-win for the state
The investigation probably won’t since he’s technically the victim of this crime, but I can definitely see the further right side of the Republican party blaming him for the fallout from this and primarying him
Either way, those county level Republican organizations getting taken down could be the really big deal here. This plus fair maps could suddenly turn Wisconsin as blue as Michigan and Minnesota have been recently.
