  • Washington state has yearly testing standards to ensure education is level with peers. I know a lot of people who’s kids are homeschooled here who are constantly exceeding scores of their peers. One parent is a 6th grade teacher in public school, while homeschooling her own kids. But even those without credentials are having high scores. Having a community and peer to peer collaboration helps too.

  • The other said what needed to be said. Do you talk to anyone the way you do? You do realize you’re talking to real people with real life experiences. And if you used any critical thought you’d understand the innocence of using the word “fricken” or “friggen” in my comment was to illustrate that in our child community growing up, we used the retard word along with that. And it was almost never used to call someone that, it was used to call a situation that. Like “that’s retarded let’s not do that”.

And yeah I don’t use that word anymore as an adult.

  • Wow I would have went through so much trouble trying to figure out my problems before stumbling on moisture problems. Especially since I’m printing in my garage.

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention before I ran into many problems. I didn’t even think about how I’m going to store all my filament. I was just going to go loose on the bottom of my table in a container.

It’s interesting that the instructions for preparing the AMS had me take out the dessicant from the 2 trays in the roller area. I was wondering what the point of these being empty was. I’ll fill that with back up with dessicant.

  • Oh wow yeah that sounds like a hand full. Health becomes a problem for us. If one of us gets sick for a few days it gets pretty rough. We don’t have too much time to go out, and my wife and I haven’t really went on too many dates since our 3rd was born. But we’re both on the same page that it’s part of the season we’re in. I’m busy maybe 3 days a week and that already makes it rough, but I can’t imagine if my week was full of appointments.

Don’t worry about being too clean for the kids. The first one is always going to be the learning curve, and we’ve been there with the ultra clean everything. Germs and chokeables. Now on our 3rd we’re a lot more lax, being more observant when it’s necessary. But you will drive yourself crazy picking every speck off the ground lol.

But ultimately my wife and I are a team. And if there’s anything that becomes too hard for us it’s because we weren’t on the same page about it. Life moves forward. Children are the best thing that ever happened to us. And our hobbies didn’t disappear, we got new ones and old ones either aren’t interesting anymore or adapted to fit. You’ll never be 100% ready. If you and your partner want children, let that child grow with you.
