I haven’t played it or really heard of it, but it’s probably awful? That’s what you wanted to hear right?
I’m back! In Hexbear form!

I love the banner, it looks like they didn’t really plan it out and realised halfway that they didn’t have enough space.
They shock me when I see a friend playing them at their place. It’s always the same flashy bloom “realistic” graphics that look identical to any other game on the market, with token RPG elements shoved in and nothing that gives it a unique sense of style or flow. They just always look so boring to me. Like Assasin’s creed 69 looks functionally the same as red dead rootin’ tootin’ just that one is about cowboys, one is about like, ancient greece or something.
Hearing that information literally caused me psychic damage.
butt why?
Because a lot of people are sold the idea that the bullshit machine isn’t a bullshit machine, it’s a magic “do everything” machine. They hear the buzzwords and never look further and just assume it must be great because so many people are talking about it. Or they hear speculation about what it “could” do and mistake that for an actual claim about what it currently does, like any good grift product or pyramid scheme.
Sorry to have to tell you this, but Portugal was created by AI.
It’s not that it isn’t automatically an indicator of AI generation, rather — it is used frequently by AI in a way that doesn’t follow the natural flow of human conversation.
If you’d like to know more, I’m here to help!
Fine, Ape Escape it is. (Joke’s on you, my disc is scratched and doesn’t work anymore!)
Someone who lacks the skills to draw it themselves. Which ok, fine, they had an idea they wanted to express and used an AI to express it. But there’s so much terrible fluff in this picture that you wouldn’t see in a human made piece. What does that weird line(road?) in the middle mean? Why are they in the desert? Why are the people in Auschwitz not behind bars but the people in El Salvador are? These are all things that could be considered and examined if a human made this, but because an AI made it, it is only ever going to be seen in a “the curtains are just blue” kind of way. No metaphor, not layers of ideas, just one, single idea “The US has made a concentration camp for the first time.” Which is an idea so simple that it doesn’t need artwork to describe it. I just described the central premise in a fairly short sentence.
I’ll have to stop there or else I’ll just rant even more.
Heavy social commentary regarding communism. Whether pro or anti is unclear.
Goddamn, I hate AI art.
Oh hey, look, it’s the thing that the west was saying that the bad guy countries would be doing in order to be lazy and not actually improve emissions and green energy! I sure am glad the good guy countries are the ones doing this, I’d hate to think what would happen if a country responsible for the vast majority of lifetime global emissions did something like this as a quick shortcut instead of actually trying to right their past wrongs!
I remember being in school and being taught not to trust computers, that they can get things wrong and are only as good as the person who programmed them. It really does seem like Millenials were the only group to ever get that message hammered into them (And a lot of us didn’t listen anyway).
