Photos have appeared online of the first day of shooting the new Masters of the Universe film in London, with Nicholas Galitzine filming scenes as Prince Adam.

Apparently, this version of the story will have Adam on Earth not having any idea of whom he really is and will be taken back to Eternia sometime later in the story.

A leaked synopsis (if real) reads:

“10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”

Ok cool. But if it isn’t half as gay as the original live action movie, it will be a certain flop.

best part about that was they didn’t even bother with the secret identity, he was just He-Man the entire time.

Why the hell do they always have to be set on, or involve Earth with these live action versions? Just make a cool story on Eternia.

If you wanna provide the money, I’m sure they will. It’s always about the money.

Of course, money wins always. Unfortunately I both don’t have enough money, or care enough to make a movie.

Given the choice I’d make a limited series with a concluded story at the end. We all know that will never happen with the thirst for sequels being what it is.

Have you seen the original Hellraiser? I think it’s supposed to be set in the US, but the problem is, at one point in the film two US policemen show up at the door. Considering they’re quite clearly on an English housing estate, I wasn’t quite sure what was going on!
