I like how this ignores that not only did the DPRK start the war, but the vast majority of the UN lined up behind South Korea, after the USSR stormed out of the security council meeting - they still had quorum, but the Soviets apparently assumed they didn’t, or would adjourn, or something. They didn’t. As a direct result, United Nations Command was established to specifically support South Korea in 1950.
