Walter Rodney’s How Europe Underdeveloped Africa was especially enlightening for me. His other works, along with Frantz Fanon’s body of work, are essential reading imo
Neo-colonialism by Fanon is a great book! I really need to get around to reading the rest of his body of work.
Frantz Fanon’s The Wretched of the Earth
John Smith - Imperialism in the 21st century. At least for imperialism in it’s modern incarnation. Some other books:
- Settlers
- an indigenous peoples history of the US.
- killing hope
- the black jacobins
- galeano - open veins of latin america
- losurdo - liberalism, a counter history
