Scientists: Outliers aren’t reliable data points.
Us: FUCK YOU WE’RE GOING TO DRINK AND SMOKE LIKE THAT ONE LADY WHO LIVED TO BE 114.
Come on, you were gonna drink and smoke anyway
I can advise anyone not to smoke, or quit smoking. I smoked for a little over a decade and quit 3 years ago… It truly elevates your quality of life. No more bad breath, no longer out of breath after a short walk, no more random sore throat, no more random chest pains, no looming threat of cancer, tons of cash saved.
I initially read that as not to smoke or if you’re already smoking not to quit lol
Same. I should start smoking again so I can not quit as recommended.
I quit about a year ago myself. Everything you said is true. And I still miss the fuck outta smokes! Fuck they’re so good. I almost cried this morning when I had my coffee sans cigarettes.
I haven’t been around smokers much lately, that helps a lot. If I can’t buy a cigarett of anyone, I can push the craving away without much effort. I don’t think they ever go away completely, but it gets easier to say no.
I remember an interview with a 100 year old woman years ago and they inevitably asked “What’s your secret?”
“Well… I’ll tell you… I drink a highball EVERY… DAY!”
TBF Branyas had some good advice overall
…Branyas believed her longevity stemmed from “order, tranquility, good connection with family and friends, contact with nature, emotional stability, no worries, no regrets, lots of positivity and staying away from toxic people”.
“Do not listen to this person!!”
Me, trying not to worry: “imagine having to pay this rent for another 70 years…”
This is actually great advice
