Hey Global Network, you know you can just send me a DM and I’ll explain everything you want to know? Why does nobody ever do that? Is this how ‘research’ is conducted nowadays?

It’s wild how liberal journos do all those ethnographic interviews of fascist groups but don’t seem to do the same for communists nearly as often.

You’re right, they go out there and meet incels and fascists and try to dress the portrait of the “misunderstood kid”, meanwhile we get reduced to a congealed mass that exists solely on the computer screen (but is somehow still very dangerous)

  • I’d just like to interject for a moment. What this article is referring to as “Marxism/Leninism” is, in fact, Marxism-Leninism, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, “Marxism plus Leninism”. “Marxism/Leninism” implies either “Marxism” or “Leninism”; however, “Leninism” is is not an ideology unto itself, but rather an extension of Marxism. Many Marxists use this modified version of Marxism every day, without realizing it. Th

I’d just like to interject for moment. What you’re referring to as theft, is in fact, uBlock Origin, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, uBlock Origin plus Advanced Mode. Theft is not an adblocker unto itself, but rather another misrepresentation of a fully functioning adblocker made useful by the uBlock Origin dynamic filters and its vital JS-blocking feature comprising a full modern adblocker as is required for the world wide web of today.

Many web browsers run a modified version of uBlock Origin every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of adblockers which is widely used today is often called theft, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically uBlock Origin, developed by Raymond Hill.

GNU + Marxism is praxis 🗣️🗣️

Marxism/Leninism implies that you divide Marxism by Leninism which what would that even look like? That would be Trotskyism!

Besides being a fucking ugly graph where you can barely read the node labels, I also like that this one pretty much admits democrats are clustered along the other reactionaries.

They also don’t describe how they even got that clustering (or the network itself) in the first place. I think it’s safe to assume they either nicked it from the web or got an inexperienced intern to just do whatever with a Jupyter notebook.

Is it a network of “common posters”? Of links in sidebar? In cross-posts?

Data science is what happens when “programmers think they are experts in everything that deals with computers” is taken to its most extreme. This field needs a purge, for the sake of all actual statisticians.

Science is when you never show your methodology, because it came to you in a dream a linear regression.

Not only is it impossible to read the node labels, it’s even more impossible to tell what is connected to what. At some point you are better off not showing the connections at all. Did an AI visualize this graph?

They put “anarcho”-capitalism, the meme ideology that has the most incel energy, right next to all the different kinds of feminism. Also, “anarcho”-capitalism os closer to radical feminism than it is to objectivism, the pseudophilosophical drivel that is essentially boils down to being a flavour of "an"caps that are more open about their hatred for the poor. How can anyone take this seriously?

when “programmers think they are experts in everything that deals with computers”

The thing is, they usually aren’t even experts in that. Your typical programmer seems to have no idea how computers actually work, and thinks they’re magical self-sufficient machines that will someday be able to run entire economies with no actual production happening.

I also note how they start by talking about the intervention in Hungary, but don’t mention Khrushchev’s involvement, then later use Tankie’s bashing Khrushchev as an example of their extremism.

that’s because the authors don’t understand what they’re talking about; they think their APIs can answer all those questions for them.

I find it fascinating how the Western world defines extremism as straying from its conventional beliefs. It is intriguing to observe that holding views such as homelessness being acceptable or denying individuals’ right to healthcare, which align with mainstream ideologies in the West, are not considered extreme. Instead, it is those who advocate for universal healthcare and housing who are deemed extremists by society. 🤡

Fascists in ivory towers getting all that money for funding which could have been used for medical or something acutally useful to society can’t even get their chud internet history site right, the_donald went to the website of the same name which is now that patriots site.

I know, probably, and I’m sure… I mean, I play into that stigma sometimes myself, in fact I was initially going to write that first comment as a parody of “Don’t Be a Sucker” – but I stopped for a moment and figured that I might as well take the initiative to point out the real stigma against adult diapers while I thought about it, because that stigma does affect a lot of people and that could very well include many of us some day.

The problem is of course that it’s one of those stigmas where nobody really wants to challenge it precisely because it is so normalized, so bringing it up at all feels weird, forced, mood-killing, or even “suspicious”.

To be fair, I am very certain that they didn’t mean adult diapers but rather very large baby diapers. In the context of these jokes, the people mocked are figurative babies, some weirdo conservatives charlie-kirk emulating babies, or adult fetishists emulating babies (ABDL, etc.). Adult incontinence issues are absolutely not a part of it.
