It’s somewhat obvious that AI is going to be used to replace workers, as much as possible, so what do you think is the best way unions (or worker orgs in general) should deal with it?
Simple, state that they can replace workers with AI all they want, provided that they pay every worker they replace their full wage in perpetuity, indexed to the cpi. After all if Ai is so much more efficient and smart they’ll make bank over that increase alone!
They should offer AIs union membership.

Union leadership should explain to workers that AI replacing them is a good thing and smugly tell them that this is the future and they should just accept it and talk about how it is good for workers actually, because automation means less overall labour, but also that naturally means that half the union is getting laid off. Then they should act shocked when their members flee their union in droves.
They should be his bodyguard. I’m lead to believe he’ll take on the role of “long lost pal”.
