I’m not a fan of these longer three minute trailers, but I couldn’t stop watching, this looks like fun. At least everything is out of context and I have no idea what’s going on!

I truly appreciate that John Williams’ Superman theme is being used. More than costumes or actors, that theme exemplifies Superman.

Not just the Williams music, but they have the crystalline fortress of solitude from the Donner films, and based on the cast list they also have Miss Tessmacher and Otis. Re-cast of course since almost everyone involved there is dead… but STILL!

Yeah, I’m into this. Still not feeling the costume, but I’m very ready for Supes to be charming and fun again.

Incidentally, if you missed it, go check out My Adventures with Superman. It got lost in the shuffle, and that was a shame.

I mean, yeah, I know, 78 as well, but you know about that one.

Hey now this doesn’t look too bad. Loving how bright everything is, big departure from Snyder’s style.

Kinda feels like Snyder dove too deep in the moral exploration of Superman’s actions, and Gunn is coming like “we can still explore those themes, but also let’s include live action Krypto”

    I’m here for it.

There is so much I like about this. I like that Clark doesn’t just look like Superman with glasses. It feels like they’re addressing the big questions of his “humanity” and focusing on his role as a protector not a fighter. This version of Jonathan Kent looks promising (I really hated the Man of Steel version) and I think without the Kents he doesn’t have the character that Superman requires. That’s what makes him human. It feels like a comic in all the right ways.

James Gunn’s credit is good with me too. Super, Guardians, Suicide Squad, Peace Maker, and Creature Commandos are all great IMO. He writes relationships so well.

Seeing how he seems to be living with Lois, or at least in a relationship with her, I’m gonna say no.

I’m still pissed that the Justice League is in this without any sign of Batman, but this trailer does make it look a lot more enticing. Or maybe they at least killed him off already or something.

But that green lantern hand jumping up from the ground was pretty awesome ngl
